What Must I Do To Be Saved?

He (Jesus) said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." (Mark 16:15-16)

There is a causal relationship expressed in this verse regarding your salvation. The relationships can be characterized as two events, belief and baptism, which occur in sequence to produce a result. The relationship may be expressed, in general, in the following way.

Event 1 followed by Event 2 produces a Result.

In addition to occurring in either order, the two events, belief and baptism, may or may not occur. This offers eight possible combinations of events with outcomes or results, although not all are unique. The following table illustrates the outcomes. Where are you?
